Moose Youth Hockey Sportsmanship Award – Recognizing Our Players
🏒 Moose Youth Hockey Sportsmanship Award – Recognizing Our Players
Moose Families,
This season, Moose Youth Hockey introduced the Competitive Level Sportsmanship Award, a monthly recognition program celebrating players who demonstrate outstanding character both on and off the ice.
While we didn’t do as much as we would have liked to promote this program throughout the season, it’s incredibly important to us that we take the time now to recognize these athletes and the example they set for others.
Why This Award Matters
The Sportsmanship Award reflects the core values of Moose Youth Hockey—respect, integrity, teamwork, and leadership. These players have shown that success isn’t just measured by goals and wins, but by how you treat others and represent your team.
Each month, one player per team was selected for:
Showing respect toward teammates, coaches, officials, and opponents
Demonstrating a positive attitude and strong effort
Supporting and including teammates
Growing as a leader both on and off the ice
Recipients were nominated by coaches and team staff and recognized for their contributions to team culture.
